To produce reliable and high performance switchgear equipment, Tamco employs state-of-the-art machineries and equipment in its manufacturing processes. In addition, recognizing that paint finish is crucial in both aesthetic and protection aspects, Tamco invests heavily in a sophisticated paintline with high degree of automation, called Cathodic Electro-Deposition system. The quality of the resulting painted surfaces (with basic thickness of 25 microns) has been tested to pass the 1000-hour salt spray test.

Lean, six sigma and value engineering techniques give us an environment where skilled hands of operators and sharp vision of supervisors help do each activity first time right that, in turn, helps meet the demands of time line. Precision and accuracy in manufacturing are of utmost importance that are noticed in TAMCO products’ performance with facilities like robotic welding, laser cutting, CNC fabrication, epoxy moulding, CED paint line, leak test chamber, clean room and an x-ray equipment. In-house manufacturing of all insulation components, test lab for salt spray, special zinc cobalt coating on all nuts & bolts, moving parts and fasteners give Tamco products the necessary edge of reliability and strength.


Tamco Switchgear (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, is an established manufacturer of medium (air and gas-insulated switchgear of up to 40.5kV and Ring Main Unit) and low voltage switchgear.
